What an experience!

I have a story to tell! Yesterday I was in Brookhaven, I had gone in Wal-Mart to pick up a few things before I had to pick up Seth from school. It had started to rain and as I came out it was sprinkling. So I hurried up and got Stormie in her seat strapped in paci in mouth and toys in her lap. Then I sat my purse and keys on the console and shut her door and went to the hatch to load my things in the back. Well guess what! The hatch would not open so I was like UH OH and I tried to open the doors and they were all LOCKED!!!!! With Stormie my phone and keys inside! Panic struck me! I looked around looking for anyone with a phone cause I knew I could not go back in Wal- Mart and leave Stormie! I seen no one around. Then out of no where a lady talking on her cell phone walks by. I holler Ma'am Ma'am can I please use your phone my baby is locked inside my car. She of course was so nice and I asked if she knew a lock smith she said call the police they will do it for free. So I dialed 9-1-1! Still in a panic and they asked what row I was on. Row 9 and I will never forget it ha ha. So then I thought ok Seth is about to be out of school in just a few minutes so I called information got the schools number and told them what happened. It just so happen the lady helping me works at Seth's school in the lunch room! Within 5 minutes a police officer was there and working on getting my doors unlocked. It did not take him long and they were open! Thank goodness. And luckily Stormie was just as happy as she could be the entire time. Just sucking her paci and watching us. I then hurried to the school to get Seth and the ladies in the office said the same thing happened to one of their employees. I really believe it locked itself because this has happened before but my keys were not in it. Plus the lady that helped me said that the same thing has happened to her a bunch. She said she thinks its a safety thing, Also the lady in the office said I will never do this again.Said something about once this happens to a woman with her baby she will never let it happen again. Oh! And my spare key was locked inside in my purse. Some help that was huh ha ha!
But I did hold it together better than I normally would have. I was just thankful it was not 110 degrees out there and it stopped raining until the police officer got my car unlocked. Then it started pouring as soon as I got in. But we are all ok. I just wanted to share my experience with ya'll! I am sure some of you have done this before RIGHT?

We are going to my baby brothers graduation tonight so that will be the next pictures I will post.

I have had a similiar experience, but it was years ago (when my son, Natalie's daddy was an infant). But I think it went well with police helping out too...I don't remember all the details so I don't guess it was too traumatic since I don't even remember the details now.

The princess shirt was probably purchased through Birthday Express along with her birthday supplies. You can find them online. They have a nice selection of birthday supplies with several choices for first birthday.

OMG! Brittney! I'd say YOU handled it fairly well to say this happened to YOU!! OMG! I would have panicked also. That is really scary and to say you had the baby locked in....oh my! Well, I'm glad that it all ended well. Yeah, those keys & locks can be a tricky thing. I had a similar thing happen w/ me last year while on a 15 min break at work. I went to Post Office, took out the key, shut the door, and Wha-la! DOOR LOCKED! I was like "uh oh" Good thing a helpful guy passed by and asked did I need help. My back door window had just enough crack in it for him to stick a clothes hanger in it and pull up the lock! I was like, "whew!" ...........the bad part is that he wanted a hug as a form of repayment! Bummer, huh? LOL
